The African World Museum & Resource Center Mission
The African World Museum & Resource Center was conceptualized and founded with the mission of educating any and all visitors about people of African descent. Through guided tours and various rotating exhibits, they want to showcase the important contributions African culture has had on the world throughout history.
Their Expansive Collection of Displays & Exhibits
At the African World Museum & Resource Center, you’ll find an expansive selection of displays and exhibits that delve into the extensive history and importance of this continent’s culture and how it has permeated throughout other cultures around the globe.
You’ll be able to experience it firsthand through an array of artifacts throughout the museum including ancient sculptures, paintings, and much more. Some of the artifacts they currently have on rotation include a statue of an African Egyptian pharaoh with dreadlocks and a European painting from the time of Christ depicting a woman with dark skin.
When you stop by the museum, one of their extensively educated and impressively passionate museum curators will be able to walk you through the exhibits and educate you on each individual piece so you can make the most out of your trip to the museum.
