Every 7,500 Miles or 48 Months
At the first interval that Chevy recommends you head in for service, around 7,500 miles driven, attention should be paid to your truck’s tires and engine.
The tires should be rotated to help ensure that the tread wears evenly throughout their lifespan. It’s also time to check on the engine oil and engine air filter, changing them if needed.
Then, have these steps repeated at every future maintenance appointment.
Every 15,000 Miles or 12 Months
At the second recommended service appointment, around 15,000 miles driven, the windshield wiper blades will need to be replaced. You can find a quality replacement at our parts center to ensure that your Chevy windshield is kept clear in inclement weather. Have them replaced about every year.
Every 22,500 Miles or 24 Months
The air filter in the cabin is important for helping you and your passengers breathe easily, especially when you’re out trucking, as the filter keeps dust particles and other pollutants from entering. For normal use, you’ll have to replace the filter after driving 22,500 miles or every 24 months.
Every 60,000 Miles
After you’ve put in a significant number of miles, an estimated 60,000 miles to be more precise, it’s recommended that you inspect and replace your Silverado’s spark plugs, but only if you’re equipped with the turbo engine. This will ensure that your truck’s engine can stay running for the long haul.
Every 97,500 Miles
If you have either of the V8 engines, it’s at 97,500 miles that you ought to have the spark plugs checked and/or replaced. In addition, 4-wheel drive machines will need to have the transfer case fluid replaced, so you can keep power flowing to all four axles.
Severe Use
