Drivers who are eager for more power out of their truck will love the impressive capabilities this truck has to offer. You’ll have a standard 4.3L ECOTEC3 V6 engine at your disposal, which provides up to 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft of torque. With that power, you can expect your powertrain to offer a towing capacity of up to 7,900 miles.
Is that not enough power for your trailer? This truck can be equipped with an available 6.2L V8 engine. This very large powertrain is able to bring you up to 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. When equipped with the available MaxTrailering Package, this engine will be able to tow up to 13,300 pounds.
Chevy Silverado 1500: Advanced Camera Views
In order to make it easier for you to back up with a trailer in tow, the Chevy Silverado 1500 offers an available auxiliary trailer camera. This technology provides you with up to 15 camera angles that can help you when you’re hooking up a trailer and towing. You’ll have camera angles such as these to work with:
- Hitch View
- Surround View
- Front Camera View
- Inside Trailer View
One of the most useful trailer views is the available Transparent Trailer, which uses your cameras to provide you with a view of what’s behind your trailer. This is a huge help when you’re backing up.
Chevy Silverado 1500: Safety Capabilities
Not only will the Chevy Silverado 1500 help you finish every job put in front of you, but this truck will keep you safe, too, with several active safety features. Likely one of the most helpful features aboard this vehicle is the available Automatic Emergency Braking function. This technology will bring you to a stop if you’re coming too close to a collision with a car ahead.
That’s not all, though. To give you more situational awareness on the highway, this vehicle can also be equipped with an available Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert. This feature will use sensors to detect when another car is riding in your blind zone, so you always know when you shouldn’t change lanes.
