Chevy Bolt vs. Tesla Model 3: Interior Technology

Different interior tech offerings provide a more enhanced and entertaining experience on both models. However, the Chevy Bolt seems to provide many of the more traditional features drivers have come to know. These features include Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The first two are especially great if you enjoy personal playlists that you’ve already planned out and want access to the podcasts you already listen to. Plus, the hotspot is a great way to stay connected and can accommodate seven different devices at one time.

The Tesla Model 3, unfortunately, doesn’t offer Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™, though it does offer Bluetooth® media streaming. Although it also comes with such features as an internet browser, video streaming, and Caraoke, these features are only provided through a 30-day complimentary offer.

Chevy Bolt vs. Tesla Model 3: Safety

Those with new drivers in the family may want to show the next generation of drivers what an electric engine can provide. However, you want those new drivers to stay safe. Thankfully, both the Bolt and Model 3 provide plenty of safety features to protect drivers.

The Tesla model is pretty impressive with its standard offerings, coming with such features as blind spot monitoring, front collision warning, and emergency lane departure avoidance and correction. The Bolt, on the other hand, offers these as available upgrades instead of standard. However, the Bolt does offer additional available safety not offered on the Tesla, such as Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Going back to wanting to keep newer drivers safe, the Chevy Bolt also comes standard with its Teen Driver technology. This set of features allow guardians to put certain safety settings in place. These settings let you choose such items as the audio volume and speed limit, as well as letting you select a maximum speed limit of 85 miles per hour. To better ensure seatbelt use, there’s also a Buckle to Drive feature and a seat belt audio mute, both of which won’t allow the vehicle or its features to work without first buckling up. Unfortunately, the Tesla model doesn’t offer this sort of feature.

Chevy Bolt vs. Tesla Model 3: Interior Features

The Bolt and Model 3 do share a number of available interior features, like heated rear seats and a heated steering wheel. However, that heated steering wheel is available on the Chevy Bolt’s base trim and standard on the higher one. The Tesla Model 3, on the other hand, doesn’t offer the heated steering wheel on the base model.

If you’ve got cargo to store for an upcoming journey, then the Bolt again may be the vehicle to choose, given that it offers you a cargo volume of 16.6 cubic feet with all seats upright. Conversely, the Tesla Model 3 only offers up to 15 cubic feet of space, leaving you with less room to utilize for cargo storage.
